Get Reze’s style secret
Trends come and go, but style is something one possesses for a lifetime. Fashion comes naturally while style is incorporated into ones daily life through numerous ways. Below are few tips that can help you embrace the style of Reze.

Colour it bold
Do not shy away from colours. Be playful with your look and bring in a zest of life by bringing forth an eclectic mix of colours into your otherwise dull wardrobe. Colours play major part in every man’s fashion. Men across the globe, including Reze have begun to integrate bolder coloured pieces into their everyday look and making a real statement with them.

Going gray, sporting silver
Embrace gray hair. Some say gray hair is a sign of aging and wisdom, but the simple physiology of graying hair has more to it than the chemical and physical changes occurring in man.  However, many believe you have to change your hairstyle when it goes gray, Reze has totally prove us wrong, as one can look stylish in gray hair. Embrace the silver. You’ve earned the right to be sexy whether or not you’re gray. Reze adds, “ the hair is natural, I really don't do anything except cut and comb it. Most times, I'm only reminded it’s there when people comment about it, because I don't get to see it.”

Style genius
Style must be a very personal thing and therefore should reflect your lifestyle and values. Some are vibrant with their taste while others simply show what they believe is appropriate for an occasion.
Don’t try too hard
Just like Reze, your look should not be forced, but relaxed. You should place comfort before fashion, instead of the other way around. Comfort is important both at the physical and emotional level. What is the point, if something is good-looking and not comfortable?

Quality
Don’t sacrifice quality while developing your personal style. There are certain pieces in a man’s wardrobe that are worth investing in. A well-tailored suit or a jacket will ‘shape’ itself to your body.

Dress to suit your occasion
A lot of people do it the wrong way, but remember there is time and place for everything. Dressing to suit the occasion is very important.

Barometer of taste
Without doubts, you would agree with me that accessories are barometer of taste. No wonder Reze invests in them. Your shoes, scarves, hats, ties, cufflinks, belts and wristwatches to mention a few highlight your attire and can lift your look from drab to fab; so, they have to be perfect. He says, “for accessories I love watches, my favourite is Rolex and Hublot.”

Go classic, wow people
A whole ensemble can be made interesting with the play of colour, proportion and styling. Wow people with your taste and individuality, not your spending. Designer’s clothes are great; they keep you in style and up on the current trends, but choose your pieces based on how they look on you, not just for the label. He enthuses, “I work with many designers, locally and internationally, so, it’s hard to say; but I doff my hat for Ozwald Boateng and what he's achieved so far.

Mix and match
Men’s clothing should be a blend of technology and tradition. The ability to mix and match make a man even more appealing. Play around with prints to dress your look up or down. Be bold. Go ahead and experiment as much as you please. The basic thumb rule is to match your leathers with your leathers and your fabrics with your fabrics.

Wear clothes that spell comfort
When dressing up, comfort should always be given utmost priority. Never wear clothes you do not feel at ease in. Clothes reflect your personality, so you should be comfortable in what you wear.

Always smell good
Fragrances are not just for occasions. However, it should not be overdone, because you would not want to end up smelling like a rose garden. A man’ good smell is a bonus to his being well dressed. You can go for Reze’s favourite, Gianni versace pour homme.

Good Shoes
The first thing often noticed in a man’s dressing are his shoes. A perfect pair of shoes completes a stylish look. Your shoes say a lot about how you pay attention to the minutest details.

Confidence
Finally, the most important component that would help you raise your style quotient is to carry your clothes with confidence and élan. Wear your outfit in a way that oozes grandeur and comfort, following there is no stopping you from being rated as the most stylish man.

Have your own identity
The greatest thing about being stylish is having your own identity. You don't need to look like everyone else or fit a certain mold; instead you need to figure out what makes you feel confident.

Body product
Just like Reze, use cocoa butter.

Be fit
Everyone wants to look fit and smart. For Reze, “I go to the gym, but mostly, when I'm out of the country, which is on monthly bases. Fortunately, I have a personal pool in my house in South Africa and also one at home in Lagos, so, I swim a lot to keep fit.”

Don’t die for it
Unlike others, Reze do not have any fashion pieces to die for. He says, “no fashion item is worth dying for, because there's nothing new under the sun; fashion keeps revolving. Today’s fashion faux pas is tomorrow’s vogue.”

Uche… It’s sexy, playfully cool

uche jombo in Vendrika's dress ( a dress i designed)

BY OYINDAMOLA LAWAL
SHE’s got everything working for her: a scriptwriter, actress and now, a producer. Uche Jombo is, indeed, one of Nigeria’s favourite actresses and well-dressed celebrities. Over the years, the curvy, pear-shaped actress has stood out in the movie and fashion world with her talent and style.
Recently, the beautiful stunning celebrity shed a whole lot of weight and revamped her style to earn a trendier look, which fashion experts and writers have applauded.
From her trademark cropped jacket and suspender to classy, simple and sophisticated look, Uche has been able to prove she knows her body and how to dress it.

Let’s help you achieve her perfect style
We all want to look our best at all times, no matter our budget or personal style. Follow the tips below and adopt them as appropriate to define your look and personality.

Work with proportion
Your clothes may fit properly, but if you do not get the proportions right, you will still be off the mark. Choose looks that are either ‘short over long’ or ‘long over short’. Whatever body-shape you have, let your outfit fit well. For instance, petite people elongate themselves with a slim cut; for slim hips wear straight leg trousers/skirts and avoid flared ankles. For curvy hips balance them out with an A-line skirt, not a bias cut. To hide hips, wear flared trousers and a classic cut top; wear a blouse with a short skirt or a trim jumper with a long skirt. Heels are always slimmer; wear the right jacket, length and bulk, for they are important here.

Rock it high
There is nothing sexier than a great pair of high heel; that is, if you can master walking in them.  Heels are always slimmer. When it comes to shoe designs, Uche says, “I think it’s the new BCB generation, I love the heels.”

Simple and sexy
Uche's style is all about simple, comfort and sexy clothes. Lots of simple dresses with very little embellishments. This style is all about showcasing the body; so, fit is important. She says, “my style is sexy and playfully cool; I don't like too much drama dressing.”

Opt for Little Black Dress
LBD has over the years become the epitome of timeless fashion — the answer to every lady’s question of ‘what should I wear to...?’ This fashion piece has not changed; rather it’s the height of style and elegance. No wonder, Uche considers it her favourite. “The Little Black Dress because it’s always handy,” she says.

Experiment with scent
Over the years, Uche has not been known with a particular scent, because she loves experimenting with different makes. In an earlier interview, she admitted her love for mixing different fragrances to get a unique smell. “I don't have any signature scent. It is boring to have one, when you can always change and smell different everyday. But I love Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf.”

Let the designer work the curve
“Locally I love any designer who can work the curves, internationally it has to be Stella McCartney, I think her designs celebrate and flatter a woman’s shape,” says Uche.

Your make-over
When it comes to make-up, Uche cannot leave the house without her lip-gloss and Iman powder. She adds, “I love Iman because it is good on black skin.”

Invest in quality fabric
Like aphorism, “you get what you pay for,” which is the gospel of fabrics. Cheap fabrics tend to be less flattering while higher-quality fabrics look better, last longer and hold their shape.”

Confidence is key
One thing about celebrities, especially the well-dressed ones such as Uche, is, confidence. Some of the most attractive people in the world are not always the most fashionably dressed, yet they radiate self-assurance that makes them noticed. While you can easily lose your poise if you are not comfortable in what you’re wearing, the right clothes can lend you some of your attitude. The rest has to come from within.

Create a signature look
Uche has rocked it all, from long hair to short, dread, bald, weaves, just name it. Years back, cropped jacket and suspender became her style signature, though, as she grew older, her style changed. You can create a signature look that is bold or subtle, such as always wearing something lavender or a stack of bangles. Repetition isn’t boring—it is the mark of a confident woman who knows what she likes and what suits her best.

Choose the right shade
The shades of colour that suit you depend on your skin tone as well as the colour of your hair and eyes. Don’t go overboard—stick to a maximum of three colours in any given outfit. Any more, the colours lose their punch.

Wear it wisely
The most sophisticated way to wear jeans to work is to pick a trouser cut in a dark rinse. Wear them with a jacket, a refined top and heels or flats. The best way to wear a colorful pair of jeans is to make them the standout piece in your ensemble. The rest of the outfit should be neutral and simple.

Dress up pants
When it comes to dressing up a pair of pants, simpler shapes are often better. Sleek black pants or a pair with tuxedo stripes are good for the evenings. Add shimmer and femininity with metallic, beaded or ruffled tops.

Invest in chic bags
Classic handbags are worth their hefty price tags because you can carry them for years. You can stay your basic shades, but also try one in a bright colour; if well crafted, a bag is ageless, timeless and fun.

Build core wardrobe
Build a simple core wardrobe and also experiment with inexpensive, trend-driven items.

Invest in quality pieces
Just like Uche, establish a lasting wardrobe of the best basics, investing in the highest quality you can afford. Play with your accessories, but also collect some real jewelry as well.

Know your body shape
Pear shaped women should love vertical lines, V-necks and skirts with slits up the side. Straight or A-line skirts to just below the knee. Dark tights and shoes with colour or pattern in a blouse or top; tops should hang past the hips. Classic cuts on top in lighter colours draw the eye away from the hips. Accent the V-neck with a V or Y- shaped necklace.

Dress to suit your personality
Whatever style you choose — accessorise and clash a little, but keep it feminine — take advantage of the wonderful high street fashion, stunning yet simple. Experiment — taking the contemporary fashion and adding a dash of your own personality to spice up things. And if you want go with Uche’s style, then opt for sensual fabrics, a splash of colour and scent.

 Know the right accessories
Uche loves simple detailed accessories. To get her look, know the right accessories for you. For instance, V and Y — shaped necklaces draw the eye down, round necklaces fill the neckline while ultra long earrings elongate the neck. A long, trailing belt elongates the legs, cocktail rings add fun and colour and a bit of sparkle to a casual outfit. A matching jewelry brings an outfit together. More so, just like a few celebs, Uche is a lover of wristwatches. She discloses, “my favourite accessories is wristwatch because I like to know the time.  I love Cartier.’

Bold, sexy and free… hits of Omotola

BY OYINDAMOLA LAWAL

ASIDE her well-applauded competence on screen, the A’list actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has proved to be a fashionista and trendsetter.
It’s impossible to miss Omotola’s irrepressible hourglass shape. Yeah, that’s the ideal shape every lady craves. She’s known for choosing pieces that reflect her graceful frame.
As each day passes by, Omosexy (a name coined by her aircraft pilot hubby) raises the bar of her fashion sense.  The mother of four loves clothes and is never afraid to take chances. She deftly combines colours, textures and shapes to add élan to every outfit.
Known for adding a personal touch to everything she wears, the actress boosts the dazzle factor at a recent event in a red and black one-shoulder dress.
While Omotola certainly has access to pricey designer’s clothes, she doesn't hesitate to experiment with edgier looks that embrace her femininity.

Here’s her secrets

Show off your waist
Since hourglass shapes typically have well-defined mid-area, drawing attention to your waist with a belt or a fitted top will accentuate this great asset. Do not be afraid to show off your waist, even if it’s small!

Embrace your curves
Without doubts, the pretty diva’s figure is curvy, round and extremely feminine. If you are shaped like Omotola, don’t hesitate to flaunt it — dress it up with the right accessories and clothes. For those that don’t have very flat, tiny waist; you can accentuate this area with spanx.  Just like Omosexy, wear clothes that fit properly, look stunning and radiate confidence. Embrace your best assets and don't hide behind improperly fitting clothes.

Look sexy and free
Omotola knows how to ooze just the right degree of appeal. Who says you cannot look queenly and sexy like her?  Every lady has her personal style. No two people have the same taste. You can achieve your taste with your unique body type. Different body types are dressed in different ways and styles to accentuate the most advantageous spots. But if you are blessed with Omotola’s figure, you can consider yourself belonging to the category that is usually the cynosure of men. For Omosexy says, “my style is bold, sexy and free.”

Fit is king
One thing we know about this screen goddess is that she likes fitted wears. She notes, “what's unique about my style is it’s always form fitting.”

Coordinate your red carpet look
When it comes to looking glam on the red carpet, Omotola most times work with fashion stylists to give her that wow look. She discloses, “I would usually leave that to my stylist or designer, but I usually do my own makeup.”

Quality is it
Omotola’s most expensive fashion pieces are her Versace gold watch set in Swarovski diamonds and some Louboutin pairs of shoes.

Big names rock
For designers, Omosexy goes for Bunmi Koko, Sally Bawa, Valentino, Diane von Further, Alberta Ferretti and Mimi London.

Love the details designer
“My favourite accessory designers would be YSL, Brian Artwood and Louboutin,” Omotola says.

Make it up
Most times, even for her red carpet look, Omotola does her makeup herself. Her favourite beauty make up is Mac Studio finish concealer.

Smell nice
For scents, Omosexy’s favourite is Flower by Kenzo, Mauboussin and Burberry Brit Red.

Give your skin a treat
A lot of celebs have different beauty routine and different secrets on how they keep their skin flawless. For Omosexy, her most valuable beauty routine is massages.

Colour it red
Red they is considered most visible and lively of all colours; it creates attraction and excitement. The wearer naturally portrays an image of excitement, energy, enthusiasm and confidence. Nonetheless, it also suggests an erotic feeling. Red is also associated with vitality and ambition, love and passion. No wonder Omosexy’s favourite colour is red… “I love red colour because I'm fierce.”

Get spanx
If you don't have a perfect body, get body shaping undergarments such as spanx. This flattens tummy bulges and gives user a gorgeous look.

Dress appropriately
Whether she is at home, work, location, screen or red carpet, Omosexy always looks neat, trim and sexy. Even if you think you are only going to the store nearby, it's not appropriate to go out in public in your pajamas. According to ‘McCall’s sewing in colour’, ill-fitting clothes lower your morale and make you less able to cope with everyday trials. Instead, wear some skinny jeans, a cute top and a pair of sandals. You never can tell, who is watching you and if you look good, you will feel better about yourself.

Attitude is everything
If you have a bad attitude about your look, then the look is not right for you. You should feel amazing in everything you are wearing; otherwise you shouldn't be wearing it. Your clothes reflect who you are on the inside.

Don’t be a fashion slave
Being fashionable means knowing what works for you. Don’t always follow trends; for sometimes those styles are not just made for your body type or personality.

The Kween… of dressinthesis

JEBELE crooner, Kween Chinyere Onokala, has not only proved her worth in the music scene, she has also charted her unique path in the fashion scene with her irresistible style. In her recent musical video, the songstress was seen wearing a new look, a departure from her usual trade mark Afro hairdo. The look did not only fit her, it is a revamp of her signature style.

Grab the Kween vibes
Be fab
Looking fabulous is about having great style, letting a wonderful personality shine through, presenting yourself well, keeping fit and knowing how to flaunt your ‘natural’ assets to your advantage. It is not the same as being beautiful or well-dressed, because being fabulous requires a balanced and refined combination of all.
See how you can achieve Kween’s style.

Be African
Kween says, “my dressing is African. I love African prints and I also jazz them up with some western pieces to create Afrocentric look.”

 Get your freedom
The most important thing in fashion is your freedom and comfort. There is no point wearing something you are not comfortable in. A lot of ladies love pants, not because it is in trend, but because it is easy-to-wear and comfortable, too. Oh yeah, with pants, you have the freedom to be a little more stylish and less conservative. It tells a lot about your total look; be it casual or corporate, and gives you the opportunity to inject some more of your personal style. Do not forget your goal is to distinguish yourself in a way that makes you look both stylish and feminine.   “I love pants because they are very comfortable. It can be worn as casual, worn to work and more. I love performing in trousers, it gives freedom of movement,” says the beloved singer.

 Smell nice
A good scent will definitely add that extra, but unique touch to your appearance. You do not want to be all dressed up, yet smelling funny or wearing an unwelcoming scent. If you want to get it pretty; go for Kween’s favourites, which are Anna SUI, Burberry, Bvlgary, Miracle, Idylle and My Insolence. “I love these perfumes because they smell great and the fragrance lingers on and on,” she says.

Bold and beauty
Celebrities have a lot of beauty secrets. One of such is how to have a glowing complexion. For Kween, the trick is regular exfoliation, body scrubbing and moisturiser. Of course, some stars use expensive commercial products from different beauty houses… well, of course, some have loads of dough to burn. Kween reveals, “my favourite are Cleansers, Toners, Face wash, Mask, Body scrub and Moisturisers. I love them because they are what you need to keep your skin clean, glowing and healthy.”

 Make it up
For makeups, Kween’s favourites are concealers, powder and kajal. She says, “they are a woman's must-have. The concealers help to conceal and brighten tired eyes, the powder covers well and kajal looks absolutely fab.”

 Timeless designers and designs
Kween loves African prints. She patronises top designers including Deola Sagoe, Tess Needle Craft, Tifanny Amber and Lisa Folawiyo;  “I love them for using African fabrics to create timeless beautiful, classy, sexy pieces for women of all shapes and sizes. They have put African fashion on the international scene and a great export product for the country.”

 Accessorise all the way
Kween loves Victoria Beckham because “she has great taste and style, which are what you get buying her products.”

 It just can’t be mini
The ‘Jebele’ star can wear almost anything, but definitely not micro mini blouses.

Colour me bright
The singer discloses, “colours for me depends on my mood and the occasion.  I prefer bright colours when I’m feeling good and happy.”

 Expensive or inexpensive
Jewelries are often the most expensive fashion piece for most celebs, aside accessories, designer clothes and other embellishments. All these do not matter to Kween; she enthuses, “whatever fashion item I have is worth the time and effort it took me to find them, however, expensive or inexpensive.”

 Shopping spots
She discloses, “Oxford Street, Bond Street, Nottin Hill, Bluewater and Camden Town in United Kingdom are places you will find all the beautiful things you need. Some unique pieces will always be spotted in the malls, boutiques or markets.”

Must-have
This celeb cannot leave the house without her handbag.  To her, “it’s a house for my makeup and daily essentials.”

 Know your muse
Kween’s fashion muse is Kate Moss.

Love the trendsetters
For most celebs, top five favourite fashion icons and trendsetters are Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Sarah Jessica Parker are regularly listed; and so for Kween, these are indeed her most stylish icons.

Back in the days we rock it bad
Kween considers fashion mistakes and don’ts as faux pas. Down memory lane, she says, “I committed several fashion blunders as a teenager. It makes me laugh when I look at old pictures and say ‘God what was I thinking’. Back then I used to think I was the best dressed from my ‘bend down boutique selections,’ but those pictures today make me laugh and laugh.”

Looking Sexy
Kween knows she still looks hot despite her two kids, but she sings, “they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the answer to that question falls in the hands of those who think I’m sexy.”
