show me your toes

By Oyindamola Lawal

OPEN toe shoes are still in vogue; they are worn all year round, and guess what? They still look very stylish.
Over the years, the shoe has made a strong fashion statement and you will be surprised that it is even more popular these days.
Open-toe comes in different shapes and designs and could be worn with pantyhose, printed tights, dresses, trousers, leggings, jacket and paque knee socks.
Though for some ladies, the shunning of hosiery presents a bit of a fashion dilemma.
A stylish lady can update her wardrobe and racks with classic shoes such as chunky heels, platform soles with cool contemporary look. Patent leather, suede, straps, chunky heels and metallic finishes are not out of place; most of them come in open toes.

THIS season of recession and global economic meltdown, women can look forward to wearing the peep toe in retro-inspired look as well as styles that have never been seen before.
For a winning combination, you just need what makes you comfortable with a healthy dose of confidence — and maybe save the hose with reinforced toes for close-toed shoes.
