Get Bikini And Under Arm Smooth… Away with the unwanted !

Getting rid of unwanted hair can be a hassle. You can rip it out, pluck it, melt it away with harsh chemicals, pay for costly laser treatments or that old stand by shaving. How do we get a smooth bikini and under arm? I am sure every now and then we all have had issues with in grown hairs, rashes, bumps etc except you are one of those few lucky people who have no problem with that. Whether you shave, wax, depilatory creams etc there are contradictions that causes some sort of discomfort. But is the best to leave you smooth and bikini/lingerie ready? here are some of my simple pre and post hair removal rules.
My no 1 skin rule, Exfoliate !
I can not stress how important exfoliating is, of course not over excessively as it can cause dryness and irritation. Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells, removes black heads, smoothens, opens the pores, and prepares the skin for future treatments. Regular exfoliations will help prepare and prevent the area from bumps, dryness and uneven texture. There are different types of body scrubs, but my favorite recommended products are sugar and sea salt scrubs especially those that contain eucalyptus, or other citrus based astringents with warming effects like ginger, grapefruit, lemongrass (my most fav).

Just like the fashion industry, the Nigeria modeling industry is fast getting a face in the world modeling industry. I am proud of Nigerian born super model, Akintayo Ogunkoya over his great achievement in his short modeling career. The talented dude has been gracing tons of runways since 2008, modeling world top fashion designers’ designs.
Ty’s singular features were a standout on the runway for his first full season. Exclusive for Dior this past January, he followed up with Versace, Belstaff, Costume National, Hermes, Krizia and Etro. Ty is only 19 , and was born in 1990 , in Nigeria (still looking for further info about his ethnicity , I guess he’s biracial ). Beware this guy isn"t just a pretty face , he is actually equipped with a degree in material engineering from imperial college in London and is still dealing with university which can be quite restricting for a model “i cant just jet off and work anywhere which is fustrating . Everything is based around my university timetable. But i get a lot more direct bookings now , i booked a dkny campaign based on doing the show , i think runway helps a lot “.
Doing a levis job his polaroid got into the hands of a lovely lady called michelle from kcd New york, she passed it on and he was on a flight to ny with 20 pounds .Ty was supposed to stay for a day , but photographer david simms liked him and kept him for a week .” i actually had to sell the i pod my dad gave me for the taxi from jfk to the hotel cause i only had 20 pounds and no bank card .” Ty remembers smiling.

When being referred to as a Black Supermodel , Ty - laughing this time - replies “i wouldnt say i am a top model quite yet , there are amazing black models everywhere , and i am just following in their footsteps !”. Remember this name you ‘re goin to see him quite often during coming seasons .

15years old Chika Emerged Elite model Look Nigeria

    It was a life transforming day for the bold 15 years old Emmanuel Chika as she emerged Elite Model Look Nigeria 2010.  Right from her first outing to her last, in different designers’ designs, Chika was able to spice up the event with her distinct walk, as she wiggled her waist majestically down the stage.
  With her unbeatable physique, bold steps, attitudes, swagger and her unique poses, the pretty damsel strutted the runway.  For every step she took, she exceptionally applauded for her modeling flavour.
 The event, which took place at Federal Palace Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday 12 September 2010, was filled with high class fashionistas, fashion designers and models amongst many others, gracing the event in different snazzy and up-to-the-minute designs.
   In mouth-watering and trendy swim wears, which was designed by Melissa Odabash, the models strutted the runway.
 The second outing featured the 12 models in Nkwo designs. Her designs ranges from summer dress, LBD, maxi and harem tube top amongst others. There were a lot of artistic Ankara details on each outfit. Nkwo played with a lot of colours and used fabrics like chiffon, net, Ankara amongst others.
  However, the first six models stepped out in Vonne jacket collection, a collection that is every woman’s must have. The unique, detailed, classy and sophisticated jackets were no doubt wow.
 In the same vein, the last six models walked down the stage in Mya’s Sengua collection, after which the models were shortlisted to six.
 More so, in the bid to spice of the event, the top six models stepped out in Jewel by Lisa trendy and snazzy chic dresses. Marvis Offor emerged the second, whilst Ebeledike Nwando was the third.

Ini Edo marriage crashed

 You will agree with me that it is not easy to be a married celebrity; scandals could break or make it depending on how the couples can deal with it.

Asa’s second album is ready!
She speaks exclusively to HiTV in its Hi Magazine issue this month about her new album, and what she has been up to.
Her self titled debut album changed the face of Nigerian music as we knew it, and it’s hard to believe that it’s been two whole years since it was released. She’s been busy during this time – touring the world, recuperating, re-discovering herself and even making music in a foreign language. And all this wasn’t enough – Asa still found the time to cinch a prestigious international award.

The new me
Asa’s new album, she says, is “full of happiness”. She’s looking different; more feminine and sexy, and she’s excited about this change, clearly enjoying the growth of this new side of herself. She admits that she’s been taking better care of herself, and that for the first time in a long time she’s feels beautiful and colourful.
She may have a new outlook on life, but Asa still remains true to her roots. She will always talk about social politics and the problems people face. “I’m not a different person. I remain the same and I hope to share that through the music”, she says.
In France, a country whose language she does not even speak, the home grown star contended with ten other artistes to win the prestigiousConstantine Award. She also recorded a French song with Yannick Noah, a Cameroonian musician based in France. As always, Asa remains grounded, grateful and humble about her achievements.

Be my man
Asa’s new album is named ‘Beautiful Imperfection’, and the title tracks on the album clearly depict her present state of mind. She shares a few during the interview, and like a mother with her children, she is hard pressed to pick favourites.
Speaking of Be my man, a track which was inspired by the guitar, Asa boldly admits that she is now open to love, and acknowledges her readiness for “that bold step”. In Questions, a moving track, she takes on politics, the news and the thoughts of everyday people. On the track Bimpe, Asa reveals to the world, a character whom she has lived with for a long time. In her head, that is.
Two themes that run through her album are humour and love. “I hope to add smiles to [people's] faces as they listen to the songs”, the soulful singer says. Other tracks which she disclosed are Broda Ole and Ok. Most of the songs were written in her studio, a haven filled with musical instruments. “When you have instruments around you, they can inspire a new sound or song”, she says.

Lighter notes
The soulful singer has had her fair share of good and bad times, but they have made her stronger. She has accepted growth and change, and is learning to “[let] go of unnecessary baggage”. Asa speaks: “You just have to smile, be brave and hold on longer, and that is what I am doing.”


Asa’s first single, “Be My Man”, debuts next week, and her album, Beautiful Imperfection premieres on radio, and will finally be released next month, so keep your ear to the ground!
