Most people remember Bobbi Kristina Brown as the little girl of the late, great Whitney Houston and her ex-husband Bobby Brown. Even though many might still think of her as a child, the 20-year-old singer and reality TV star recently announced she's engaged. People magazine reports Bobbi Kristina will start planning wedding process with her beau Nick Gordon.
While this should be a happy time for Bobbi Kristina and Gordon, their special moment has been overshadowed with negative feedback and comments from fans. Prior to Houston's death, she would refer to Gordon as her "son," since she took him under her wing and raised him from a young age.
Despite the family's closeness with Gordon, Bobbi Kristina recently took to her Facebook page to let people know that Gordon is not her brother, nor did her mother adopt him. She adds, Houston may have even helped spark their romance.
"... Mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating. My mom knows me better than any of you," the young singer wrote on her page. "A lot of y'all are saying that y'all are only saying this all out of love. Which is bull because if that was so, all you would want is for me to be happy."
Bobbi Kristina continued by saying that even though her relationship with Gordon hasn't always been easy, he is the one who makes her the most happy, and she doesn't care if people approve or not.
This is the second time rumors of Bobbi Kristina and Gordon's engagement has come up. Us Weekly reports the couple were rumored to have gotten engaged shortly after Houston's February 2012 death. While Bobbi Kristina's rep denied the report last year, this time around, a wedding will be in the works.
