THE INAUGURAL PUPLE BALL PRESENTED BY MOET & CHANDON CHAMPAGNE

In honor of President-Elect Barack Obama’s Historic Inauguration, we will be hosting an exclusive formal ball in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. the evening of The Inauguration Ceremony. It will be a night of celebration and elegance designed to bring together the most influential and diverse leaders of our nation. Celebrities and Politicians will be joining us from around the nation to attend “The Inaugural Purple Ball” in honor of bipartisanship and diversity.

Guests will be surrounded by carefully laid lush purple velvet, crystals and only the best champagne from Moet & Chandon will be served. As part of the evening, we will be serving a delicious champagne dinner. We will also be paying special tribute to our veterans and troops. Special musical performances by Il Divo & Peter Cincotti will be part of the evenings program.

The festivities for the inauguration of President Barack Obama provide a wonderfully unique opportunity for a flower re-delivery project. Given the nation’s collective need to honor America’s dedicated, wounded soldiers, and desire to embrace a new, more hopeful future, we will share the inauguration spirit by delivering celebration flowers to injured veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the National Naval Medical Center and the Washington DC VA Medical Center here in the Nation’s Capital.

Local volunteers partnered with The FlowerPower Foundation of New York City. Founded by Nancy Lawlor in 2003, the Foundation has collected more than $2.5 million of donated event flowers, re-assembled and given them to those who rarely receive such gifts of hope. Thousands of elderly, sick and terminally ill across the nation have been touched by this act of kindness.
