Spirited, simple Obiwon

BY OYINDAMOLA LAWAL
IT doesn’t matter where you are or what you do, but being well-dressed and looking good can never be something that’s too much to ask for.
Obiora Nwokolobia-Agu, popularly known as Obiwon in showbiz, is one dude with great talent, class and style. Over the years, he has been able to prove that he is a great vocalist. And there are several awards to show for it.
When it comes to fashion, Obiwon is one of the few men who are at the centrepieces of style, as his quick style tips indicate below

Let it fit
Please, make sure everything fits well. Most males wear clothes that are too large, or sometimes, too small. Make sure everything you wear is almost hugging your body. My style is making sure it fits; simple, yet not too trendy. It can be unconventional at times, but not weird.

Keep it simple
Key pieces and colours are gorgeous, but do not overdo it with accessories or colours; keep it simple and straight! The uniqueness of my style is that, it is spirited, simple, solid ... sometimes a blend of the urban and the traditional.

Change is key
Change is the way you view casual. Pair some pants with a colour shirt or get those pants with a nice sweater! A little pizzazz goes a long way! My favourite piece changes over time, but for now, it's the waist-coat; it's not too serious as a jacket; and can easily blend into a formal or informal mode.

Not everything has a brand name
You do not necessarily need to wear designers to look trendy and stylish. Sometimes, great clothes are made from little known designers.

Rock colours
Who says you are limited to dull colours; that is, obviously, of the past. Colours are for guys and rocking the one that best suits your body is a plus. My favourite colours are silver, grey, ash, white and black.  They have this unearthly feel, which are solid and stable appearance. I also love bright colours such as lemon green, yellow and lighter shades of other colours.

Watch it
When it comes to accessories, Obiwon, the ex-banker, loves watches and has a lot yet doesn’t buy them often. “My most cherished fashion piece is watch; I can't remember when last I bought one; I have always received them as gifts,” he discloses. “I can’t do without watch and band. I need to tell the time; hands would feel bare without them.”

His fashion faux pas
Obiwon discloses that he cannot be caught in any extremely popular fashion fad. “You get lost in the crowd. For me, fashion faux pas is unmatched colours, ill-fitted clothes and attention-seeking exposure.”
